Leeds - Solar PV Installation
7.20 kWp
Like the Roundhay project, this Leeds homeowner took the opportunity of a new roof covering to integrate solar PV directly into the build, and the result speaks for itself.
ACT installed 16 all-black solar panels using an in-roof mounting system, which sees the panels sit flush within the roof surface in place of traditional tiles. It's an approach that delivers a particularly clean aesthetic, with no visible brackets or raised frames, and one that's becoming increasingly popular with homeowners who want the benefits of solar without changing the character of their property.
The 7.20 kWp system is expected to generate approximately 4,924 kWh of clean energy each year. An EcoFlow inverter manages the system, with the added flexibility that battery storage can be added at a later date, an important consideration for homeowners who want to phase their investment over time.
Starting with solar generation and adding battery storage later is a smart approach. It means the homeowner begins saving on their electricity bills immediately, while keeping the option open to capture and store even more of their energy in the future as their needs evolve or battery technology continues to advance.
Whether you're planning a new build, a full re-roof, or simply exploring what's possible, in-roof solar is worth considering and this project shows just how seamlessly it can be done.
