Milford Sports Club
Milford Sports Club is a well-known community sports venue in Kirkstall, Leeds. Home to local rugby league teams and a popular destination for functions and events, the club plays an important role in bringing the community together and now it's leading by example on sustainability too.
Associated Clean Technologies installed 87 solar panels on the club's roof, creating a 43.50 kWp system that is expected to generate 41.42 MWh of renewable energy each year.
The system features SolarEdge Technologies inverters and optimisers mounted using Esdec hardware, providing reliable panel-level monitoring and strong performance throughout the year.
The solar installation is projected to cover around 51% of the club's electricity needs, meaningfully reducing the energy bills that community-run organisations feel most keenly.
With energy costs continuing to rise, this investment helps protect the club's finances and ensures more of its funds can go towards what matters - supporting sport and community life in Kirkstall.
Projects like this show that solar energy isn't just for large commercial operations. Community venues, sports clubs, and local organisations can all benefit from generating their own clean electricity, and ACT is proud to support them in doing so.
