Omega Stone - Solar PV Installation
225.40 kWp
Omega Stone is one of the leading names in stone masonry and worktop fabrication, operating from their facilities in Pudsey, Leeds. Established in 2010, the company has built a strong reputation for precision craftsmanship across the domestic and commercial sectors, supplying and installing granite, quartz, marble, and natural stone products nationwide.
With a busy workshop running state-of-the-art cutting and finishing machinery, Omega Stone's electricity demand is substantial. Associated Clean Technologies designed and installed a 225.40 kWp solar PV system comprising 490 solar panels across the available roof space at their premises.
The system utilises SolarEdge Technologies inverters and power optimisers, paired with Esdec mounting, ensuring reliable performance and maximum energy yield from every panel - even in areas of partial shading.
The installation is expected to generate approximately 203.43 MWh of clean energy per year, covering an estimated 61% of Omega Stone's total electricity requirements. For a manufacturing business with high daytime energy consumption, that represents a significant and immediate reduction in grid dependency and electricity costs.
This project demonstrates how industrial and manufacturing businesses can put large roof areas to work, turning an otherwise unused asset into a source of renewable energy that directly supports their bottom line.
